Is the M9 worth getting if you already have the M8?

Im torn , is it worth going with an equinox or just get this? would you say their performance is pretty much the same. ( i use to have a 600 but sold it and i want to get back into metal detecting)

struggled with the 900 pre and post update. at fe -1 the machine chirps with the coil above my head.(as i walk). still digging deep iron and multiple nails even using 40 khz. still trying... Zeb

Very good tutorial. Having owned the Minelab Xterre Elite Expedition Pack for a short time now, I am really enjoying using this very capabable SMF detector that is a spectacular value. Found a Franklin Half-dollar my first time out with it, not a bad result for it’s maiden voyage and hopefully a sign of things to come swinging it..

If you change discrimination or any other setting does it go back to factory setting when turned off? I just got a Deus 2 and it’s a bit of a learning curve compared to my Fisher Gold Bug. 😅

I admit my frustration level with the Manticore hitting rusty nails is running very high. They paint on the line no red and almost no bounce. I got the Manticore to lower the up and downs of digging. The opposite is true. I have never dug that many nails before.

This machine isn't going to cut it, I'm afraid. Value for money from what iv seen plus the prices youv mentioned don't include headphones in the price, these are an extra, around a hundred pounds extra for a very basic machine.

Awesome video! can you recommend me a pin pointer that you like , i have a pulse dive pin pointer that goes off non stop near my manticore i assume its because its a pulse induction pointer. Hope you can help thanks

Love the 6" coil on the Nox 900.

Going on 8 years with the CTX and love the machine. Hoping someday Minelab will come out with something over the top. A faster prossesor and better response on silver dollars. Also its weak in ultra dry soils but maybe all machines are. I run the Andy Sabisch program which is pretty much an open screen. Run two tone which non-ferrous is high tone and everything else low tone. After getting a high tone check the numbers and guess what it is.

You assisted with a decision to buy the elite. I waited for the vortex but it's a non starter right now. I own four Whites, one Garrett and the 540. After being in this hobby since 95 I'm looking for depth and fair accuracy in target I D. The exterra seems to be it. Thanks again and good hunting.

Just not sure about any of the three variants of this Vortex. Missing a few features that most mfg’s are incorporating in even so-called basic or lower end machines, right out the gate doesn’t sit well. Who knows until it gets in some good testers hands though as to how it’ll actually perform. I’m not sure it’ll find a home in my current lineup of seven Minelab and Nokta machines but I won’t judge it fully until it hits the streets and we see some feedback from experienced users…the last thing Garrett needs is another Apex abortion to deal with.

I wanted the elite but they sell it for 700$ here so i went whit the nokta dubble score for 450$ Almost the same stuff. multi frequency and single 15khz and fully waterproof. And the legend is 800$ here so yeah that's why i ended up whit the dubble score
